"Always busy in the high season and understandably so with good food and service this restaurant also has pleasant views over the River Rance. Enjoy one of the many walks the area has to offer and finish the perfect day with dinner here. I would suggest check for the opening times and book prior to your intended visit."

"Considering several of the other reviews are so negative we tried La Cale anyway since there were so few other options in the area during the off season. The meal was way better than we expected from the onion soup my husband ordered along with his drippy delicious hamburger & fries; but the real highlight was my duck confit on sweet potatoes—perfectly cooked, moist, tender, dripping in a luscious sauce. The service was rather slow but very nice and welcoming, so don’t believe the crotchety reviews and have a great relaxing lunch in a beautiful setting."

"Seafood starters. One portion but plenty for two. According to the website it’s closed Mondays, but it wasn’t. So if in doubt, phone. Best seafood meal I’ve had in France this year."
